LH₂-supplied fuel cell cogeneration plant in Hamburg

HyWeb, 97-03-24: In late spring of 1997, the electric utility company Hamburgische Electricitäts-Werke AG and the gas utility company Hamburger Gaswerke GmbH will start operation of a liquid hydrogen (LH₂) supplied cogeneration plant with phosphoric acid fuel cell. The power output will be about 200 kW_el and 220 kW_therm and will be used for supplying an adjacent habitation area.
